Ingredients:
500 gr. (18oz.) Butter, 400 gr. (14 oz.) Sugar, 500 gr. Flour,
9 Eggs, 250 gr. (9oz.) chopped sweet Almonds, 10 gr. ( 1/3 oz) minced bitter Almonds,
Vanilla , Peel of a Lemon.
Preparations:
Beat the butter until soft, add 13 oz. (380 gr.) sugar and stir until the sugar is solved. Then add the eggs, almonds and the vanilla . Cut the peel of the lemon into little stripes, and add them to it. Take the flour and slowly add it to the paste until the paste gets a little thicker. Spread it out on a baking sheet, and place it on the middle level in the preheated oven. Let it bake at 200*C ( 395*F ) for about 25-30 minutes until light brown. After 10 minutes baking time, scatter sugar on top of cake, and put it back in the oven. When the cake is finish, spread some plum-butter or cranberry jelly on top of it. Serve this with classical East-Frisia tea.

Ingredients:
1 Piecrust, 750 gr. (26 ½ oz.) soft Cream Cheese, 14 sheets white Gelatin,
150gr. (5 ¼ oz.) Sugar, 3 Egg Yolks, 1-2 tblsp. Marmalade, ¼ l ( 9oz. ) Cream,
1cup marinated Raisins (put Raisins in a Brandy, and let it marinade for a few days) and 1 cup Brandy.
Preparations:
Take cream cheese, sugar, and brandy, and mix it good. Add the in water solved gelatin, and slowly stir it in to the mixture. Next, whip the cream, add the raisins, and stir it also to the mixture. Spread the marmalade on the piecrust, and fill the mixture in the piecrust. Place it in the refrigerator, and let it rest for a few hours. Enjoy!

CLICK HERE ! to translate Eine typisch ostfriesische Sommeridylle : Die Dame des Hauses sitzt im Liegestuhl, blättert gelangweilt in einem bunten Blatt und läßt den Blick voller Vorfreude zum Johannisbeerstrauch mit seinen leicht geröteten Früchten, schweifen. Langsam und ohne Vorwarnung nimmt die Katastrophe ihren Anfang: Eine Amsel ( einer dieser niedlichen ehemals scheuen Waldvögel) landet im Garten, beäugt Dame und Beeren und hüpft unter ihrem gestrengen Blick in den Strauch . "He" entfährt es ihr aber der Vogel zupft mit verächtlichen Blick eine Beere ab und fliegt davon. Die Dame will sich gerade mit einem "naja, es war ja nur eine" wieder zurücklehnen als sie mit schreckgeweiteten Augen die Amsel in in Begleitung ihrer Kinder, Eltern, Großeltern sowie Freunden und Bekannten im Strauch landen sieht. Voller Panik, und nach ihrem Gatten rufend, springt sie auf und versucht die Vögel vergeblich zu vertreiben. Dem flugs herbeigeilten Gatten empfängt ein verzeifeltetes "Nun tu doch endlich was ..." aber auch er ist der evolutionären Energie dieser "ach so niedlichen" Vögel nicht gewachsen. Erst nach längerer Grundsatzdiskussion mit den Nachbarn über Tier- und Artenschutz darf er unter Zuhilfenahme des Gartenschlauches und der Zusage den Örtlichen Tierschutz zu sponsern die verbliebenen 23 Beeren retten.... .. und damit geschah folgendes ( auch wenn's in Wirklichkeit ein paar mehr waren ) :

Ingredients:
900-1000 grams (about 2lbs.) red Cranberry's, 250 grams (9oz.) Flour,
125 grams (4 ½ oz.) Margarine, 4 Eggs, 150 grams (5oz.) Sugar,
125 grams (4oz.) ground Hazelnuts, Vanilla-Sugar, Powder-Sugar.
Preparation:
Put flour, margarine, two eggs, and a little more than a third of the sugar in a bowl, and mix it until it makes a nice even dough. Then put the dough in aluminum-foil, and let it rest about an hour in the refrigerator. After that, roll the dough, make it a thin layer and place it in a spring-form. Make a 4-5cm ( 1 ¾ - 2 inch) rim. Then take 4 egg-whites and beat it until it becomes a stiff cream. Add sugar, vanilla-sugar, and hazelnuts, mix it up real good, and then add the cranberry's. Fill this paste into the spring-form, level top, place it in a preheated oven, and let it bake for about 45 minutes at 180-200°C (355-395°F). After the cake is cooled off, scatter some powder-sugar on the top.

Ingredients:
200grams (7oz.) Sugar, 250 grams (9oz.) Butter or Margarine, 4 Eggs, 500gr. (18oz.) Flour, ½ teaspoon Baking Soda, Vanilla-Extract, ¼ liter (9oz.) Milk, 5 table spoons Cocoa Powder.
Preparation:
Beat Butter or Margarine, Sugar, Vanilla-Extract, and 4 Eggs into a foamy substance. Mix Flour and Baking Soda together. Take a fine strain and sift the flour and the baking soda through into the substance while stirring, and add every now and then a little milk to it. Take have of the dough, and add the cocoa-powder to it, mix it real good. Then take the other dough and place it in a lightly greased baking form. Add the cocoa dough on top of it, and twirl the mass. Place the form in a preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes at a temperature of 175°C (350°F).

Ingredients:

1 pack Yeast , 1 tablespoon Shortening,
4 tablespoons Sugar, 1 pinch Salt.
Preparations:
Mix the yeast, 1 teasp. sugar, and about 5 tblsp. warm milk together. In a bowl add flour, eggs, milk, shortening, yeast, sugar, and salt, mix it up real good. Then beat the dough real good with a whisk. Take a kitchen towel and scatter some flour dust on it. Place the dough on it, and keep it at a warm place, for the dough to rise. Then put the ready dough in a metal form, and put this form in a large pot with water. The form must touch the bottom of the pot. Then let the water boil for about 1 hour. Serve this with a vanilla-cream sauce and canned pears. Cold leftovers taste good with butter and East-Frisia Tea.

1 teaspoon Anise.
Preparation:
Take the sugar and solve it in a cup of warm water, and let it cool down. Melt the butter, let it cool off a little, and add flour, sugar-water, egg, and the spices. You might have to add a little water to it. Make sure the dough is not runny. Let it rest over night, and then roll it out into a thin layer. Put it in the oven, let it bake a little, but not crisp. Then turn it into little rolls, and put it in the jars. Keep it there and hide it good!!

Ingredients:

250 gr. (9oz.) soft Cream Cheese, 150ml (5oz.) Milk,
150ml Oil, 50gr. (2oz.) Sunflower Seeds,
2 teasp. Baking Powder, 1 teasp. Salt,
and any other eatable Seeds for scattering on top of rolls.
Preparations:
Take all ingredients and put it in a bowl. Mix it up real good, and form rolls out of it. Next we scatter the seeds over the rolls and then we put it in the oven for about 30 minutes at about 200°C (390°F).
If it was successful and you liked it, you can try it the classical way with flour and yeast.

500 gr. coarse grind Rye, 500 gr. Wheat Flour,
1 liter Buttermilk, 2 pack Yeast, 200 gr. (7oz.) Sugar-Beets Molasses,
1 ½ tblsp. Salt.
Preparation:
Mix thoroughly coarse grind rye and whole wheat flour with the buttermilk, and let it sit overnight at a cool place. The next day, mix it up with wheat flour, molasses, yeast, salt, and knead it thoroughly. Then fill the dough in one or two bread forms, place it in the cold oven, and let it bake for 2 ½ hours at 150°C (300°F).

100 gr. coarse grind Rye, 4 tblsp.
Oil, 125 grams (4 ½ oz.) Soft Cream Cheese,

Mix thoroughly all ingredients, and form about 15 rolls from the dough. Brush top of rolls with milk, and let it bake at 200*C (390*F) for about 20 minutes. Then take the rolls out of oven and let them cool off. Eat and enjoy!
